Tinkerbell

Adopted, April 2023 by the Kenney family!

Tinkerbell is a sweet and sassy 10 year old (May, 2012) merle female. Don’t let her age fool you! This spunky senior is full of life and still bounces and zooms around the yard. Tinkerbell likes being close to her people and will come looking for you when you’re out of sight too long. She’s also a leaner and loves to make herself right at home in your lap.

She is well known in rescue for her fabulous smile and her happily wagging tail. She is also well known for her notorious counter surfing and her determination to hunt down all the tasty snacks. Diligence will be required to keep foodstuffs out of reach and securely put away.

Tinkerbell craves human companionship after living the last year outside and requires a home where someone is around frequently. Due to her need for zoomies and her high bounces while playing, she will require a 6 foot fence. Tinkerbell is good with children, but doesn’t discriminate how big a lap is before she plops down. Therefore, close parental oversight will be required with any younger children in the home.

While she doesn’t much care for being around other dogs in public, a calm, older companion would be appreciated. Tinkerbell is currently fostered with a cat, but it was a weeks long process to achieve a peaceful coexistence. Any cat in the home should be an indoor-only, dog-savvy feline. Tinkerbell is crate trained, knows some basic obedience and is good on a leash.

She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and on a monthly heartworm preventative. She also takes a daily joint supplement, as well as a cranberry supplement.
