Hugo

Hugo was adopted by Elspeth & Bob, February 2020

Hugo is a spry brindle senior (130#), DOB November 2010.  Hugo came into rescue after a divorce and is adjusting well to his new foster home.  We were told he was not good with stairs however he has maneuvered the stairs in his foster home so likely a home without many would be best.  Because of his age he is now on a joint supplement.  He is good with his foster siblings, a senior Dane and a Dachshund but does need dogs that respect his space; he previously lived with cats.  Hugo would do fine with older children, toddlers can be a bit too much activity for his calm, quiet tastes! Hugo is a Velcro Dane and wants to be with his people most.  He does not lay on the furniture, but will sit on the couch or a lap. He is crate trained and housebroken.  Hugo is not food aggressive but he will surf tables and counters to get unattended food!  He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm tested and on monthly prevention.
