Leon

Adopted by the Weaver’s, September 2021

Meet Leon the lover, a blue fawn male, DOB approximately May 2020. He came into rescue after his owner passed away. He was one of 4 great danes that were surrendered. He is currently living as the only dog in the home and is doing good however he does need a regular release of energy as he is young!

Leon is 115lbs of puppy and needs some ongoing work on manners, he is a little overzealous about jumping on people but his foster home is working on reinforcing good behaviors. He is learning to play with toys and loving them!

He is housebroken and crate training is a work in progress by so far he has not been destructive in the home, aside from a pillow so dog proofing of important items is best. So far he has been good meeting small children and other dogs but should still be supervised. Unfortunately because his previous owner passed we do not have much history, rather only what we have experienced while in rescue.

When he came into rescue he had been living outside, we do not know for how long. Since then he’s slept on every dog bed, pad, couch, and bed in his foster home and they say he is a great snuggler!

Leon is up to date on vaccines, tested negative for Heartworms and is microchipped. He will be neutered and we anticipate him being ready for adoption the beginning of October!
