Dexter

Adopted February 2021!

Meet Dexter! This handsome gentleman (DOB November 2013) was turned into rescue when he was given away by someone who couldn’t care for him. The friend contacted us and we were able to get him into a foster home.
His foster mom calls him a smoosh as Dexter LOVES being in public and meeting new people; he greets everyone with a smile and a lean.
A fenced yard is suggested as Dexter will bolt if given the opportunity. Dexter is lacking leash skills so he will need some help in that department!
Dexter is crate trained and it is suggested as he does have some separation anxiety when his people leave. He could also be fine as the only dog in a home if his people are home all day.
Another dog 60lbs+ in the home would be ideal, one that can meet his energy level when it is time to play.
He is currently fostered with another Great Dane and a Dachshund so small dogs are okay as well and he would do best with children 10+ in a Dane-savvy home.
No cats for Dexter!
Dexter is housebroken, up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. He is being fostered in Maitland/Orange County.
