Sherman

Sherman was adopted by the Richinelli-Huston family, October 2019!

Sherman is a merle male (DOB ~December 2018). Poor Sherman was found as a stray by animal control with a huge neck wound from what we can only guess was an embedded collar. Because of this his neck looks a little different and it is still not 100% healed. We currently us a no pull harness for Sherman until he is fully healed. He is a little head shy and understandably so as he likely had quite a bit of pain with the embedded collar. Given what we can only imagine was a not so great up bringing Sherman is a sweet guy and enjoys meeting people.

Because Sherman was a stray we have no history on him and have guessed at his age. He can be rough with small dogs and tends to chase a running cat in his foster home but does correct. Sherman also can be a bit mouthy as in mouth on you however that is improving but will continue to need appropriate/ongoing correction.

He loves playing with the other Danes in his foster home. Sherman’s ideal forever home will include: A fenced yard, another large playful dog and a family committed to ongoing training/reinforce good manners. If you do not have another dog we will need to know your intent on keeping his energy level and playfulness manageable. Sherman is housebroken and crate trained.

Sherman is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and on a monthly heartworm preventative.
