Newton is a young merle mantle (DOB July, 2022) with a moderate energy level and a playful nature. He has an extreme love of toys, with plushies being his hands down favorite. Newton also enjoys fetch, as well as tug games with other dogs.
He does have a bit of an independent streak, though he likes to know that his people are nearby. He can be a snuggly boy and does enjoy cuddling on the couch. Newton has been to a number of dog friendly places and has done well being introduced to new people.
Newton loves the company of other dogs. He would do best in a home with another large, active buddy that he can wrestle and zoom with. He can be a little humpy during play, but that should resolve itself once he is neutered. Newton also enjoys the company of children and is recommended for kids age 9 and older. He is curious about cats and will chase if they run.
Newton enjoys walks and rides in the car. He is crate trained, knows the sit command and is making progress on his leash manners. He will require a fenced yard with room to run. Newton will help himself to tasty snacks left on the counter, so foodstuffs should be securely put away or placed out of reach. He has a sensitive stomach and MUST be on a chicken-free diet.
He is still intact and will be adopted on a neuter contract. He is up to date on vaccines, microchipped and on a monthly heartworm preventative.
