Atlas is a Deaf merlequin male, DOB August 2017. His genetic background is why he is deaf. He is fairly intuitive to his humans and keeps a watchful eye on them. Atlas has learned a few hand signals and “listens” well!
Because of his deafness he does require a fenced in yard and another semi active dog to play with and to be his “guide” and to join in on his afternoon zoomie sessions! Atlas should never be allowed off leash for his safety.
Atlas is an affectionate boy, he likes his pets and to give hugs. Atlas does okay with cats and most other dogs he has met. We do not know how he is with children as he has never lived with them. Likely older, teenage children would be okay. Atlas does not need to be crated and is not destructive in the home. He is housebroken.
Atlas is up to date on vaccines, neutered, current negative Heartworm test and on a monthly preventative. He is also microchipped.
