June 2022 – Adopted by the Menzel Family
Athena is an adorable 6 year old (July, 2016) mantle female. She is one of the sweetest girls and just loves being with her humans. She is especially partial to children and thoroughly enjoys their company. Athena is a spunky lady and is still very playful. She also likes to indulge in lengthy naps and has a comfort blankie that she brings to bed with her each night.
Athena enjoys toys and playing with a ball. She has a huge appetite for people food and can be a bit of a counter surfer. Athena is always ready for a car ride and likes to stick her head out the sunroof of her foster mom’s car.
In her past home, she lived with another Dane and gets along well with other dogs. We are unsure of her interactions with cats, as it has been limited. A fenced in yard would be ideal because she would love to run, but access to a dog park and long walks work too. Her foster mom is working on leash manners and Athena just jumps (sometimes literally!) at the chance to go outside to play or for a walk. She does not require crating, as she isn’t destructive in the home.
Athena is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and on a monthly heartworm preventative.
