Benson

Adopted by the Fleemin family, September 2019

Benson is a soon to be one year old (DOB August 2018) blue male.  He is about 100 pounds so a little smaller in size however he makes up for it in energy!  Benson was turned into rescue as he was too much activity for his previous owner and never had much basic obedience training so he has started learning boundaries and manner.   Ben is very food motivated so he will excel in formal training!  He needs work on leash skills, currently he does okay with a Halti.
Benson LOVES to play with other dogs and is a typical one year old Dane, he is full body play and too much for smaller dogs and cats.  When around smaller animals he need supervisor 100% of the time to ensure their safety – not aggressive or mean, just too big for them.
Benson has not been raised with children and is not overtly careful so he would likely be okay for a home with older children, 10+ years old.
Ideally he would have another large, playful dog in the home or a family that will ensure he receive enough activity to keep him happy.

He is crate trained and housebroken and should be crated when left alone as he is very still very much a puppy!
Benson is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm tested negative, on a monthly prevention and is microchipped.
