Slater is a male harlequin, about 100 pounds. We believe Slater to be about 3 years old. He came into rescue after his owner passed away. He was moved around a few times before he came to rescue so we are not sure of his age or much of his background, other than what we have known. He was Heartworm Positive when he came into rescue and recently underwent heartworm treatment.
Slater will be looking for his forever home mid to late June. He so far has done best with female Danes. He is a sweet dog who prefers his people over other dogs. Slater is fine with cats. We do not know how he is with children as we have not background on him. He seems to do better with a less active home so he would likely do okay with older children, 10+ years old, supervised of course as we don’t have known history. He is moderately playful, he enjoys some quick romps but really likes lounging about.
Slater is neutered, gastropexied and microchipped as well as up to date on vaccines. He is now on a monthly heartworm preventative.
