Goose

Adopted February 2023

Goose is a young black male (DOB 4/22) whose main goal in life is to be with his people. He will follow you throughout the house and isn’t happy when closed doors keep you apart. He will even monitor your showers to make sure you don’t drown. Goose loves to cuddle and will curl up on the couch with you for some one on one time. He likes playing ball, loving on his stuffies and chewing on Benebones and stuffed Kongs.

He is a high energy boy and will require an outlet to expend it. He is still very young and his behavior reflects this. Goose is headstrong and can be rough and mouthy when playing. He tends to jump on people and counter surfs. He is also not selective in his entertainment when bored, so he will require supervision around the house and crating when home alone. His ideal family would be an active one that will provide the exercise and mental stimulation he needs. A Dane savvy owner that’s home frequently is best and ongoing training is necessary. A canine companion with a similar energy level and style of play is highly recommended.

Goose loves spending time at the dog park and has been enjoying short outings around town. He is great with cats, but can annoy them with his insistent desire to play and use them as pillows. Any children in the home should be older, due to his energy level and lack of self awareness. Crate training is a work in progress, as is basic obedience and leash manners. Goose will require a fenced yard with plenty of room to run.

He is neutered and gastropexied, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and on a monthly heartworm preventative.
