Cooper

COOPER HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING!

Meet Cooper! Cooper is a 1.5 year old (DOB June 2014) extra large mantle merle male. He was surrendered to rescue because of life changes by his owners making them unable to properly care for him. After coming into rescue we discovered that Cooper was a somewhat anxious boy who had never been properly socialized and lacked self-confidence simply due to never being exposed to the world around him. We have been working on putting him in new situations and helping him learn that the world isn’t a scary place. Cooper has come a long way on his journey while in rescue. Cooper is slow to warm up but once he accepts and trusts you he’s a sweet, cooperative, stick by your side kind of boy. Cooper lives with a female Dane in his foster home and gets along great with her. He is crate trained (in fact loves his crate), house broken, trustworthy and not destructive. Cooper loves to go on leash walks and car rides. Coop will do best in a calm home where he isn’t left alone for long periods each day. He has lived with children and would be okay with older kids, 10+ years old. His adopters will need to commit to continuing his socialization and confidence building with a slow, easy approach. Cooper is neutered and tacked, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heart worm tested negative and on a monthly prevention.
