Pierce

Adopted December 2023 by the Houston Family

Pierce (DOB March 2020) is a pocket sized Dane mix at 92#, but what he lacks in stature, he makes up for in personality! He has an expressive face that always lets you know exactly what he’s thinking. He usually wears a megawatt smile, but when he is annoyed or displeased, he is the absolute master of the side eye. Pierce is an affectionate guy that excels at leaning and lap sitting. He loves attention, is a great snuggler and tends to follow you throughout the house. He also has very vocal opinions on everything and is not afraid to share them.

Pierce is fairly energetic, but does enjoy a good snooze between play sessions. He is fostered with multiple Danes and dives right into the mix. He is a rough and tumble player, letting loose with a variety of vocalizations when fully engaged. Pierce also loves to zoom and race around outdoors, so he will require a fenced yard with room to run. He can live happily among smaller dogs, but he does need a large playmate that is close in energy level and style of play. He is also very cat friendly and loves to cuddle up with them for naps.

He is a gentle soul that is extremely polite and frequently looks to his people for permission or approval. He is easily distressed by yelling and will go hide, so a calmer environment suits him best. Pierce would be a great addition to a family, as he is gentle with young children and is very mindful of his size. He is crated trained, but doesn’t require it as he is trustworthy in the home. He knows basic obedience and has good leash manners.

He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and on a monthly heartworm preventative.
