Meet DaVinci! He is new to rescue so we are still getting to know him.
DaVinci is a bright, energetic 1.5 year old (DOB May 2014) male fawnequin. He doesn’t chew (except his toys/antlers) but he seems to like to “collect” shoes, etc and bring them to his bed. He is an incredibly fast learner; he only knew “sit” when we he came into rescue but learned basic behavior commands quickly. This has helped him adjust to having boundaries and discipline; he’s never experienced either prior to coming into rescue.
DaVinci has come a long way in a short time, but he needs a home where he will experience consistency with rules (no counter surfing, no jumping up with paws, etc). He needs a lot of exercise and attention to keep his energy/boredom from becoming a source of destructive behaviors (like digging, barking or destructive chewing). He walks well on a leash!
Because of his energy level and poor manners he needs to be in a home without small children or small pets. We were told he previously lived with a female dog before coming into rescue so we believe he is okay with larger sized, female dogs. As we get to know him we will socialize him with other dogs. He is crate trained and housebroken.
With some consistent training DaVinci will be an incredible boy for a very lucky forever family!
DaVinci has an adoption pending!
