AVAILABLE! Tyson

Tyson (DOB August 2025) is a typical young Dane with plenty of energy, a playful spirit, and zero concept of personal space. He’s a velcro dog who loves being with his people and is always ready for whatever adventure comes next. Tyson is a huge fan of toys and his favorite hobby is emptying the toy box one toy at a time. As cleanup is apparently someone else’s job, he scatters them everywhere to make sure you get your daily exercise.

He can be barky when initially meeting men, but he warms up after proper introductions. Tyson can be mouthy and jumps up when excited. He is still learning that not everyone appreciates an enthusiastic giant puppy greeting. He will require a dog-savvy home that will help him learn his manners and any children in the household should be teenagers.

He also enjoys chasing and wrestling with other dogs and would love a home with a large, playful canine companion. He can be a bit much during play and isn’t always the most polite, but he responds well when corrected. Because of his size and enthusiasm, he isn’t a good match for small dogs or cats.

Tyson is crate trained and requires crating when left home alone. He knows “sit,” is highly food motivated and enjoys learning new things. He still needs work on leash manners but does reasonably well using a Halti or similar head collar. A securely fenced yard is required so he can safely burn off his puppy energy.

Tyson is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and on a monthly heartworm preventative. He is fostered in Cocoa and is ready for adoption. If you would like to make him a part of your family, please fill out an application and submit the processing fee. If you have questions about Tyson or the adoption process, please email our adoption coordinator, cherie@gdlcf.org.
