Whiskey (DOB January, 2024) is undoubtedly the epitome of “tall, dark and handsome.” He also has the endearing habit of marking his passage with a bit of sparkly Dane slobber. Whiskey is a playful boy with an abundance of energy and a love of chew toys. He adores his people and likes to lean on them to get the very best pets. As he thrives on companionship, a household with someone around frequently is a plus.
He can be pushy in his quest for attention and when excited, can be a bit jumpy and mouthy. He will need a dog savvy family that will provide a structured environment and continue to work on his training. Formal obedience classes are highly recommended, as they will help to polish up his manners.
Whiskey is extremely outgoing and loves seeing new faces and making new friends. He is also dog friendly and would enjoy a sturdy canine buddy for play and companionship. Due to his high energy level and spirited nature, he is not a good fit for small dogs or cats.
He is crate trained and crating him when home alone is highly recommended. While he is kid friendly, due to his size and exuberant personality, any children in the home should be teenagers. He will require a fenced yard.
Whiskey is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and on a monthly heartworm preventative. He is fostered in Cocoa and is ready for adoption. If you would like to make him a part of your family, please fill out an application and submit the processing fee. If you have questions about Whiskey or the adoption process, please email our adoption coordinator at cherie@gdlcf.org.
