Scooby (DOB October, 2016) is an easygoing guy who loves long naps. He has perfected the art of snoozing and will rearrange his blankets into the perfect nest before settling in. Once he’s asleep, you’ll find he’s a vivid dreamer and his feet tend to flail about. He’ll also serenade you with his rumbling snores.
Scooby does have sporadic bouts of playfulness throughout the day and enjoys spending time in the yard. Zoomies are still a thing for him and he loves chase games. While he’s not really interested in toys, he does have a favorite bone he likes to chew on. He’s also a foodie and is especially fond of treats.
He loves his people deeply and enjoys the attention he receives. He is very affectionate and will lean on you to get all the love and pets. Scooby’s gentleness and calm demeanor make him a great choice with children. He’s also dog and cat friendly.
He is crated trained, but doesn’t require it as he is well behaved when home alone. He knows several obedience commands and is cooperative for all facets of grooming. Scooby enjoys walks, but prefers that they be kept brief. He has fantastic leash manners and can easily be walked by the children in his foster home. Car rides are enjoyable, but he may require some assistance in loading up. Dog beds are preferred over furniture and as he needs to go out to potty a few times a day, having someone home frequently is preferred.
Scooby is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and on a monthly heartworm preventative. He is fostered in Winter Garden and is ready for adoption. If you would like to make him a part of your family, please fill out an application and submit the processing fee. If you have questions about him or the adoption process, please email our adoption coordinator at cherie@gdlcf.org.
