Hazel (DOB February, 2022) is a shy girl who needs time to settle in and adjust to new environments. Once she’s comfortable, her sweet and affectionate nature becomes apparent. In order for Hazel to blossom and thrive, she requires a dog savvy home that will understand and respect her retiring nature. She will need a quiet household without a lot of visitors, along with an established routine she can depend on.
She has a moderate energy level and likes to play with plush toys and sticks. She also enjoys time outdoors and loves to race in circles around the property. Hazel is fostered with children and likes spending time with them. She is also dog friendly, but as with people, will need some time and space to get to know them and make friends.
Hazel is crate trained and does enjoy walks, as long as she’s not required to be up close and personal with strangers. She’s cat friendly, reasonably good in a vehicle and will require a fenced yard. Hazel is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and on a monthly heartworm preventative.
She is fostered in Orlando and is ready for adoption. *As Hazel can be skittish around new people, a couple of visits to get to know her are encouraged.* If you would like to make her a part of your family, please fill out an application and submit the processing fee. If you are an approved adopter interested in Hazel or have questions about her or the adoption process, please email Cherie, our adoption coordinator, at cherie@gdlcf.org.
