Sake (DOB November, 2021) is the ultimate velcro boy and is always up for a snuggle session. He’s extremely affectionate and loves to rub himself all over you like a giant kitty. Sake has a moderate energy level and enjoys zooming around the yard, as well as walks around the neighborhood. He tends to be very playful, but also knows how to settle down and chill when needed. Sake is an ardent lover of toys and his favorite game is keep away.
He is dog friendly, but requires a slow introduction to new friends and is best with medium to large dogs. He tends to be too much for small dogs or cats, so he requires a home without either. Sake is best with older children, as he is not always aware of his size and can also communicate his wants and needs using his paws.
Sake is happy to accompany you on social outings and loves making new friends, especially when includes lots of pets. As he bonds deeply to his people and can be a little anxious when left alone too long, he needs a household where someone is often around. Sake is trustworthy in the home and does not require crating. He knows his basic obedience commands, has reasonably good leash manners and requires a fenced yard.
Sake is neutered and gastropexied, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and on a monthly heartworm preventative. He is fostered in Tampa and is ready for adoption. If you would like to make him a part of your family, please fill out an application and submit the processing fee. If you have questions about Sake or the adoption process, please email our adoption coordinator at cherie@gdlcf.org.
