Zuri was adopted in February 2026!
Zuri (DOB October, 2023) adores her people and thrives on their love and attention. She also has an independent side and is happy to entertain herself as long as her humans are close by.
She is generally low-key indoors, happy to lounge and nap. Outdoors is where the action happens—whether it’s an energetic game of keep-away featuring a stick or some good old fashioned zoomies around the yard.
Zuri is attentive to the surroundings outside the home and will happily alert you to visitors, deliveries and passersby. She tends to be nervous when meeting new people, but generally warms up fairly quickly and will seek attention.
She is dog-friendly and would appreciate a large canine companion to pal around with. She has lived previously with cats and does well with younger children.
Zuri has a tendency towards mischief, so crating is recommended when she will be home alone. To minimize her crate time, a household with someone home frequently is preferred.
She knows her basic obedience commands and has excellent recall, but her leash manners still need a little work. She is cooperative for nail trims and ear cleaning, but baths most certainly aren’t appreciated. Zuri loves car rides, but must be secured in the vehicle—or she’s liable to take over driving duties and show off her need for speed!
She requires a fenced yard with a minimum height of 6-feet. She should be monitored while outdoors, as she finds the fence line a tempting place to dig and can quickly tunnel her way to freedom.
Zuri is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and on a monthly heartworm preventative. She is fostered in Bradenton and is ready for adoption. If you would like to make her a part of your family, please fill out an application and submit the processing fee.
