Miley was adopted January 2026 by the Schmidt family.
Miley (DOB March, 2023) tends to be very shy and fearful when meeting new people. It takes time for her to warm up and trust. Once she does, her sweet, loving nature manifests itself and she quickly becomes an affectionate companion.
When Miley is comfortable and has settled in, you’ll often find her in her favorite unladylike pose – lounging on her back with her legs high in the air. She also loves to give her special people “Miley Hugs” – draping her front legs over your shoulders while resting her head on you for some cozy cuddle time.
Miley’s not really a barker, but she’ll happily communicate her wants and needs. If you aren’t fulfilling her wishes quick enough, she’ll let you know her displeasure with a little sassy side eye. Miley has a moderate energy level and thrives in the company of other large, friendly dogs. She’s a gentle player and will easily relinquish her toys to her foster brother without complaint.
Her crate is her safe space and she retreats into it when she’s uncomfortable. Young kids make her anxious, so it’s best that any children in the home be teenagers or older. Miley is very food motivated which will be helpful with training and confidence building. She’s also tolerant of grooming and requires a fenced yard.
She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and on a monthly heartworm preventative. She is fostered in Vero Beach and is ready for adoption. If you would like to make her a part of your family, please fill out an application and submit the processing fee.
