Mickey

Mickey was adopted January 2026.

Mickey (DOB November, 2023) is a handsome boy who loves to snack on blueberries and milk-bones. He adores toys of all kinds, but is best with durable ones as he’s an expert in dismantling stuffies. Mickey is also obsessed with sticks, likes to fetch and enjoys playing tug.

He’s a snuggly boy that loves attention from his family and wiggles in excitement when being loved on. He tends to be cautious around new people and it takes time for him to give you his stamp of approval and make friends. Mickey is still learning to navigate the social world, so a patient home with Dane experience is needed to help him continue to come out of his shell.

Mickey is dog friendly and enjoys roughhousing and romping with his Dane foster siblings. As they provide him reassurance and help him gain confidence, he will require a large, playful fur friend in his new home. Mickey is good with children and is recommended with kids ages 8 and up. He is also cat friendly.

He is crate trained and crating is recommended, as he has displayed a tendency to get into mischief when home alone. He also knows a number of obedience commands and rides well in a vehicle. Mickey isn’t comfortable when initially leashed and needs work on his leash manners. His recall is also spotty and he needs further training so he responds reliably when called. He requires a fenced yard with a minimum height of 6 feet.

Mickey is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and on a monthly heartworm preventative. He is fostered in Bradenton and is ready for adoption. If you would like to make him a part of your family, please fill out an application and submit the processing fee.
