Adopted April 2024
Morticia (DOB March, 2015) loves attention and believes your entire day should be devoted to petting her. If you stop too soon for her liking, expect plenty of backtalk. Morticia is low energy and spends most of the day in her bed, lounging and napping. She also finds laps comfy too and will certainly make use of one, if available.
Being a lazy girl, she prefers to spend her days at home. She does enjoy periodic walks around the neighborhood though and has good leash manners. Morticia loves toys and her absolute favorite is her squeaky pig. She also enjoys a rousing game of tug. Morticia is very dog friendly and enjoys zooming with her fur friends, but she is not fond of being jumped on. When it comes to cats, she feels they are a lower life form and very much beneath her notice.
Morticia is extremely well behaved in the home and is great with children. She is crate trained, but definitely does not require it. As she prefers company, either another dog in the home or having someone around frequently is appreciated. She tends to stay off the furniture and does not climb stairs.
She is spayed and gastropexied, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and on a monthly heartworm preventative. Morticia is fostered in Mims and is ready for adoption. If you would like to make her a part of your family, please fill out an application and submit the processing fee. If you are an approved adopter interested in Morticia or have questions about her or the adoption process, please email Cherie, our adoption coordinator, at cherie@gdlcf.org.
