Gomez

Gomez was adopted! June 2024

Gomez (DOB October 2015 ) is an outgoing boy with a huge personality and he definitely makes his presence known. He tends to greet you by rubbing his massive head all over you, leaving evidence of his glittery love. He will also rest his head against your chest (or occasionally somewhere a bit too low for comfort) so he can get the very best pets.

Gomez is absolutely toy crazy and keeps his collection close by so he can pick and choose his playthings. He also likes tug games and will bring you a toy when he’s ready to engage. Gomez has a surprising amount of energy for his age, but does enjoy lounging around and napping. Zoomies are still a thing for him, so he requires a fenced yard.

He is a wonderful family dog and is great with young children. He tends to be social by nature and enjoys going on outings. Making new friends is the highlight of any adventure and he’s thrilled with all the attention he receives. Gomez is also dog friendly, but tends to forget his manners at times.  Dominant dogs may not be tolerant of his behavior, so he’s best suited to a home with patient and laid back fur friends.  He is also reasonably well-behaved with dog-savvy felines.

Gomez is a master at opening latch handle doors and isn’t shy about lifting the toilet lid to indulge in a refreshing drink.  He also sets his big old head on the table at mealtimes with his lips artfully draped, hoping for a tidbit or two.  He is currently learning to retreat to his crate until his family has finished eating.  Gomez is trustworthy in the home, knows some basic obedience commands and is food motivated, which should help with further training. While he does enjoy walks, his leash manners do need some work. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and on a monthly heartworm preventative.

He is fostered in Titusville and is ready for adoption. If you would like to make him a part of your family, please fill out an application and submit the processing fee.
