Adopted, December 2022
Gus is a one year old (November, 2020) black male. While he enjoys attention and likes cuddling, Gus is also content just hanging out nearby and keeping an eye on things. He’s a mostly chill guy and tends to be a couch potato, but has brief bursts of energy throughout the day. He does enjoy zoomies when spending time outdoors, so a fenced yard is required.
Gus is always ready for a ride around town and enjoys doing social things. He also likes going on daily walks and is learning good leash manners with the help of a gentle leader. Gus enjoys the company of other dogs and has done well at the dog park. He is also perfectly fine being the only dog in the home.
He would do best in an environment where someone is around frequently. He can sometimes get into mischief when left home alone, so crating is recommended. His basic commands are a work in progress. He is food motivated though and that should help with his training. Gus enjoys the company of children, but isn’t always aware of his size (he is tall!) and surroundings. Therefore, any kids in the home should be at least 10 years old.
He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and on a monthly heartworm preventative.
