Skye

Skye is a spayed 6 year old (DOB April 2014) female blue Great Dane. There is no need for Skye to be crated when left alone as she is not destructive and has not had any accidents in the house.

She currently lives with a family that has a 10 year old son and likes to give her human kisses on her own terms. She likes her space and enjoys her sleep but looks forward to her 10 minute walk each day. She walks great on a leash, however cannot walk far due to her limited mobility with a hip; we do not know what the cause as she was surrendered to rescue like this.

Skye does tend to get jealous with other dogs getting attention from her humans so would do best as an only dog and recommend children 10 years of older. Or with a calmer male Dane would likely be okay.

She is not one to play with dog toys, but does enjoy chasing squirrels in the back yard. Skye does great meeting strangers for the first time and loves to get in all of the loving and is a true Dane leaner.

Skye is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, on a monthly heart worm preventative as well as a daily joint supplement.
