Blu is a lovable and active one year old boy, DOB May 2019. He enjoys being with his humans (most importantly, his mommy) and foster brother and sister. While still a puppy, his favorite activity is snuggling on top of or next to his human. Blu would do best in a home with a large, confident dog as he tends to be a follower. He is also mouthy when he plays, so the dog will need to be playful and patient (we are working with him on this).
Blu tends to get anxious corrected by the other dog and will comfort himself by whining and pacing (or running to mommy). He is great with children, but has knocked them over when excited. He is good with cats, but will play mouthy with them as well. He only shows mild interest in birds. We are able to have the bird out on top of his cage without issue.

We were told that he has chewed shoes, but we’ve seen no destructive behavior in our home. He does love toys and always has one near. We crate him when we’re gone and he does cry for a bit, but settles down faster when another calm dog is crated next to him. He sleeps well when we place his bed on the floor next to ours. He will bark if he cannot see you.
We’ve started training him with a gentle leader and he seems to be getting the hang of it.

Blu does stress with change and we know when he is adopted he will stress out to a new family, new life, new routine and when he is stressed he regresses in housebreaking. Once he is settled in, which is probably 2-4 weeks he has no issues. But he will initially, we feel pretty sure about that.
