Abbey

Abbey was adopted by the Charpin family, January 2020

Abbey is a 1 year old (DOB December 2018) female brindle English Mastiff and Great Dane mix, weighing about 95 pounds. Her previously family loved her very much but didn’t invest enough time in training and manners and Abbey was too much for the small children (both under 4 years of age) in the home. She is learning manners and boundaries however that will need to be ongoing as she needs work!

Abbey is crate trained and due to her young age we wouldn’t recommend her not being crated if she isn’t being supervised. She is being fostered in a home with several other dogs and is very playful with them all. Abbey is a bit rough with the small dogs and cats, as she wants to play with them like they too are 100 pounds so supervision is a must. As with most young, active, rambunctious giant breeds, small children are not recommended for everyone’s safety.

Abbey would do best in a home with a dog savvy leader to ensure she learns and practices good dog manners. She is young and active and needs a release for that energy, whether it is long walks, playtime with another dog or lots of play time with his humans.

Abbey is spayed, gastropexied, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and on monthly heartworm prevention.
