Oscar

July 22, 2019 Adopted by the Wolfa family
Oscar is a very loving, active, playful, energetic 1 yr. old (DOB 5/1/2018 ) weighing about 131lbs. He loves to be with his people, get belly rubs & give lots of kisses. He has a tendency to prefer human furniture over his own. Oscar knows basic commands; (sit, down, shake) & he walks pretty good on leash. He does have a tendency to pull if standing stationary for too long as he likes to be on the go. He will need continued leash training for this. He likes running in the back yard, playing fetch & chewing on his squeaky toys. He’s been introduced to other larger dogs & does great, he’s ok with the cat in the house but does chase her if she walks/runs within his sight; (although he’s never shown aggression or an intent to hurt the cat). He’s also been introduced to older children & did great. He previously lived with a 4yr old & 11yr. old, however, we have not personally tested him with children under the age of 13. He does play pretty rough with the 2 dogs he lives with and will need continued training on acceptable play behavior. Oscar is a busy body as he’s still a puppy and has chewed on unacceptable things on occasion. He corrects well; however, if not contained or if he is left unsupervised this could result in potential destruction. He will need continued training on this behavior. Oscar would do best in a home with a dog/dogs his size who can rough house & help burn his energy. He hasn’t ever been an only dog; however, if adopted as an only dog he’ll need to be with someone who is dedicated to keeping him active to burn his energy as he has plenty. He’s neutered, microchipped, crate trained, house trained, UTD on shots & on monthly heartworm/flea preventives. Fence yard required for adoption.
