Dax

Dax was adopted by the DeGaetano Family, November 2019

Dax is a 2.5 year old, neutered male, mostly black, Dane. He is housebroken, crate-trained, and has not been destructive in the home however he is crated while no one is home to supervise. Dax is a sweet, communicative boy who needs a gentle, but firm and loving environment. He is equally happy lying in bed with you as he is having a game of fetch (though, he is still practicing letting go of the ball). He knows basic commands, but may need a little coaxing to remember them when in new situations. He does not appear interested in jumping fences, but it is apparent that he may a prey drive when it comes squirrels and birds. His reaction to cats & children is unknown at this point. Dax may have a little bit of anxiety when his situation first changes, but it does not taken too long for him to adjust. Dax’s foster family feels that an ‘only dog’ or a ‘one canine sibling’ family would be a situation where he would thrive the best.

Dax is neutered, up to date on vaccines, on a monthly heartworm preventative and microchipped.
