Ava was adopted by her foster mom, Anne – February 2019
Ava is a harlequin female, we are guessing she is about 3 years old and came into rescue starved, found at a landfill/dump and filthy. We don’t know how she got there or what horrible person did this to her but we know she is now safe in rescue. She weighed 69 pounds upon intake, she is 32″ tall and ideally should weigh closer to 120 pounds. She was full of hookworms, which we treated and is heartworm positive. Once she had gained some weight and is healthier we will begin heartworm treatment.
Ava is currently is too unhealthy to get an accurate idea of her personality as she really only really cares about one thing: food! She will remain on medical hold for the foreseeable future.
