Nelson

December 2018 Adoption Pending, Segota Family

Nelson is a 11 month old (DOB December 2017) merle male weighing about 120 pounds.  Nelson is a typical young Dane full of energy and needs a regular outlet for it.  In true Dane fashion he doesn’t realize how big he is and can be a little clumsy and likes to get into your personal space for snuggles.   He does well with the two Danes and cats in his foster home.  He gets a little overly excited meeting new people and dogs so that is a work in progress.  He previously lived with small children (aged 1 and 6) and did wonderfully with them. He will seek out children in any crowd and seems to love being around kids more than anyone else. Would love to see his forever home be one with children, especially kids who are used to big bouncy dogs.

Housebroken and crate trained, but not destructive and can be left alone free in the house without problems. Very high energy puppy, and needs lots of walks and play time. He is doing very well learning basic obedience commands and leash manners. Keeping him off of furniture is a challenge, but he is learning, and will go to his bed or crate when directed.

Nelson is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and on monthly preventative.
