Lager

RIP November 2018
Lager is a 4 year old (DOB February 2014) deaf harlequin male.   He is a calm, low energy boy who would be happy as a single dog or with another low key dog.  Lager is a sensitive dog and does best in a home with a reliable routine.
As with many special needs dogs, Lager has some issues with being left alone for long periods of time.  Lager is able to be crated but does stress while crated so he is often baby gated into a room.  Care is taken to make sure the room is safe and there is not anything he can get into.  He does okay for about 5 hours but after that he can get destructive.  Lager is not medicated daily and we initially tried medications and they didn’t seem to help him calm down.  What has worked best for him is a consistent schedule.
He is not overly playful but does enjoy his leashed walks daily; he has good leash manners.  Lager does enjoy running around the yard a few times a day so he can stretch his long legs out!
Lager is housebroken, is okay around cats and teenage children.
Lager is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, heartworm tested (negative) and on monthly preventative.
