Bogey was adopted by his foster mom in November 2025!
Bogey (DOB June, 2022) is a handsome boy who is a balanced mix of gentle giant and playful goofball. He’s a total love bug — whether he’s rubbing against you like a cat, resting his big head in your lap for attention or gently nudging your hand for more pets. He is also a big fan of toys and plushies that squeak are his absolute favorite. He loves when you hide them around the house and will diligently search until they have all been found.
Bogey has a moderate energy level indoors, but once outside it’s all about zoomies and chase games with his foster siblings. He will require a playful dog buddy to share in his antics, as well as a fenced yard. Bogey is kid friendly and lived with older children before coming into rescue. He is also feline-friendly and is generally respectful of any furry housemates.
He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but warms up in short order and will seek his share of attention. He also seems to enjoy social outings once he’s had a chance to observe the goings-on and becomes comfortable.
Bogey is well-behaved in the home, crate trained (he sleeps soundly in his crate at night) and knows sit and shake. He’s eager to please and very responsive to the tone of voice. He rides nicely in the car and tolerates grooming though nail trims are still a work in progress. While he gets a little excited when the leash first goes on, he quickly settles into good leash manners and enjoys his walks.
He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and on a monthly heartworm preventative. He is fostered in Apopka and is ready for adoption. If you would like to make him a part of your family, please fill out an application and submit the processing fee.
