AVAILABLE! Arche

Arche (DOB April, 2020) is a unique blend of Great Dane and Bloodhound with a sweet disposition and a gentle nature.  He loves attention from his people, especially when it includes lots of scratches.  While he likes to keep an eye on his loved ones and know they are nearby, he is independent enough to allow you the time and space to go about your day.

While Arche is generally a low-energy dog around the house, he really lights up when engaged in interactive play.  He’s crazy about fetch as well as tug and will bring you a toy when he’s ready for fun. He is a big fan of squishy balls, rope toys and playing keep-away.  Arche also loves long walks and going on hikes. Car rides really excite him and he will happily tag along for adventures or social outings.

At home, Arche is attuned to his people, well-mannered and respectful of boundaries. He knows a variety of commands and is cooperative for grooming.  Arche has good leash manners and is crate trained, but doesn’t require crating as he’s trustworthy in the home.

Arche has lived with teenagers and a cat.  He does well meeting new people and has been welcoming to other dogs he has met while out and about. His ideal home would be one where his people are around often—retired, working from home, or part-time workers.  He will require a fenced yard.

He is neutered and gastropexied, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and on a monthly heartworm preventative. He is fostered in Orlando and is ready for adoption. If you would like to make him a part of your family, please fill out an application and submit the processing fee. If you have questions about Arche or the adoption process, please email our adoption coordinator, cherie@gdlcf.org.
