Hawkeye found his forever home with Justin, February 2024
Hawkeye (DOB March 2022) delights in being the center of attention and will check in frequently with his people for love and pets. Anyone who gives him affection immediately becomes his new favorite person. Hawkeye has plenty of energy to burn, but does indulge in long naps between his bouts of play. He adores toys of any kind, with plushies being his favorite. He’s also addicted to watching nature shows on television and anything with David Attenborough is a hands down favorite.
His ideal home would be an active one that will include him in activities and outings. Hawkeye is still learning what is expected of him and will need a patient family that is able to continue his training. As he isn’t always aware of his size and surroundings, any children in residence should be at least 10 years old. Hawkeye wants to be King of his Castle and doesn’t like to share his space or his people with other dogs. He is also unpredictable with cats and needs to be the only pet in the home.
While Hawkeye is crate trained, he doesn’t require crating in an orderly home. If his environment is cluttered, he may have difficulty determining what belongs to him and what doesn’t. His obedience commands are a work in progress, but he is very food motivated which should help in training. He absolutely loves walks and has reasonably good leash manners on a halti. Due to his need of exercise and love of zoomies, he will require a fenced yard.
He is neutered and gastropexied, current on vaccines, microchipped and on a monthly heartworm preventative.
